Kannada actor Chetan Chandra attacked by a mob in Bengaluru, severely injured

Kannada actor Chetan Chandra found himself in a distressing situation on Sunday evening as he and his mother were attacked by a gang of around 20 people in Kaggalipura, Bengaluru.

Recounting the harrowing experience in a video shared on social media, Chetan revealed that the attack occurred while they were returning from a temple. In the video, the actor was seen with blood stains and a broken nose.

According to Chetan Chandra, the incident unfolded after a seemingly intoxicated man damaged his car. Chetan approached the person regarding the car damage. However, the situation escalated as a large group of about 20 people, including a woman, gathered and initiated the assault.

In the Instagram Live, Chetan spoke about the injuries he sustained, emphasising the severity of the attack. Despite receiving a warning from the police, the gang returned and damaged his car once again, adding to the trauma of the ordeal.

Following the assault, Chetan Chandra promptly sought legal recourse by filing a complaint with the police. The case has been registered at the Kaggalipura police station, with investigations underway. It has been speculated that the incident stemmed from road rage, fueled by the accused’s intoxicated state.

Chetan’s ordeal has sparked outrage on social media, with many demanding justice for the actor. The hashtag “Justice for Chetan Chandra” has gained traction.
