Sonu Nigam met an aspiring singer who wanted to sing for his idol and share his admiration.

Singer Sonu Nigam recently shared a heartfelt moment when he met an aspiring singer and fulfilled his wish to sing a song. In the video, Sonu listens intently as the fan sings “Bhagwan Hai Kaha Re Tu” from the film PK.

After singing the song, the fan named Krishna Goel touched the feet of the ace singer, who, in turn, hugged Krishna.

Krishna shared the video on his social media handle and wrote a long caption. The caption read, “PoV: When my musical God @sonunigamofficial sir meets , listens and hugs me ! My biggest thanks to god for making me see this moment in life ! Never ever I expected this miracle in life that I will meet my living god and that too for so long !! I still am in the moment and I still feel happy just by remembering it ! I wish I can work with him and give him a tribute on a Filmfare stage just like he gives to his musical god – the legend of all times Mohammed Rafi Ji Dear Sonu Sir , I thank you for this generosity ! For this fan moment ! Any fan in this world always always will ask for the fan moments I lived in real !…”

The video left several netizens emotional. A user commented, “You can clearly see the difference between him and Bollywood celebrities. They should learn humility from this man.” Another fan wrote, “This is so wholesome So so happy for you, my friend.” Another comment read, “That’s the reason why Sonu sir is best.”

Sonu Nigam worked hard to establish his position in the Hindi film industry. He started his career with independent albums and eventually started doing Bollywood songs.

In a podcast with Ranveer Allahabadia, Sonu had opened up his first audition. The singer said, “I went to Usha Khanna’s audition in 1991. I was probably 18. She called me to a recording at Sargam Studio. I saw Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu coming and singing there. They asked me to sit. But I kept standing. I kept standing for 7 hours. I thought what if the door opens and they see that I am sitting. No, I kept standing because I thought that would leave a good impression.”
