The song is being promoted as, “An anthem of love, joy, and uniting people across the world through the universal language of music!” The romantic number stars Diljit and the highlight of the track is Sia singing in fluent Punjabi. Watch here:
Sia has not only sung her lines in ‘Hass Hass’, she has also contributed in writing the song along with Diljit and Indrr Bajwa. Here are the lyrics to her verse: “Dil tenu de ditta, main tan soneya. Jaan tere kadma ch rakhi, hoyi aa. Marna main teriyan bahan ch chann ve. Sohn tere pyaar di main chakki hoyi aa (You’ve given your heart to me, I’m yours, my beloved. I’ve placed my life at your feet, I want to die in your arms, I’ve ground the flour of your love).”
Before announcing his collaboration with Sia formally, Diljit had shared a series of pictures from their meeting earlier this year. Talking about the song, he told news agency ANI, “Creating Hass Hass with Sia has been a memorable journey. This collaboration is exceptionally special, as Sia has ventured into singing in Punjabi.
