Much like the previous editions, Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 has also become a massive hit among the audience, with its viewership and ratings skyrocketing. The show, hosted by Malayalam superstar Mohanlal for the seventh consecutive year, premiered on August 3 with 20 contestants, among whom only 16 remain in the house now as the show has entered its fourth week. While the latest season is progressing successfully, there has been much speculation among the audience about who the highest-paid contestants are so far.
Launched seven years ago on June 24, 2018, Season 1 featured some of the biggest names in Malayalam show business and ranks among the most celebrated editions of the show thus far. While actor and television presenter Sabumon Abdusamad emerged as the winner, the maiden edition of the reality television series also featured actors Shwetha Menon, Anoop Chandran, Hima Shankar, Aristo Suresh, and Archana Suseelan, as well as television hosts Ranjini Haridas and Pearle Maaney, as contestants.
While Anoop Chandran is said to have received a daily remuneration of Rs 71,000, Pearle Maaney’s salary was Rs 50,000 per day, which was also the earnings of comedian and TV presenter Arya Badai, who was part of Season 2. Actor Manikuttan, meanwhile, received a daily salary of around Rs 45,000, with reports claiming that he was the highest-paid contestant in Season 3. It’s worth mentioning here that he was named the title winner of that edition.
Suchithra Nair, Shiju Abdul Rasheed, and Saranya Anand from Seasons 4, 5, and 6, respectively, earned Rs 50,000 daily, while reports suggest that Anumol RS, who earns the same amount, is one of the highest-paid contestants this season.
