Demon Slayer Infinity Castle advance bookings: While some people might consider manga or anime shows to be nothing more than cartoons, or even a sort of recluse for the younger generation, it has carved out its space in the Indian market, and Demon Slayer is proof of that. The anime is coming out with its third film titled Infinity Castle, and the advance bookings for the film have done something unprecedented. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film is projected to earn around Rs 15 crore on its opening day.

Sacnilk reported that the film has sold close to 1 lakh tickets for Day 1, while the overall tickets sold for the weekend are close to 2.5 lakh. These numbers only account for the three major cinema chains, namely PVR, Cinepolis, and INOX, which suggests that the numbers could be even greater. If the numbers are correct, they would make Infinity Castle the highest-grossing non-Hollywood animated or live-action film of the country. This also means that the movie will earn more on its opening day than the entire collection of some of the franchises’ previous films in the country.

Demon Slayer Infinity Castle is also likely to beat the collection of other anime films such as Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (Rs 4.85 crore) and Suzume (Rs 0.42 crore). Both films went on to make Rs 1500 crore and Rs 1225 crore worldwide, respectively. If Infinity Castle truly performs like the trends are suggesting, it will have a more successful opening day than the Sidharth Malhotra-Janhvi Kapoor starrer Param Sundari (Rs 7.45 crore) and the Tiger Shroff-Sanjay Dutt starrer Baaghi 4 (Rs 12 crore). This will put the film in quite an elite club, beating out films starring household names of the country.
