The upcoming third instalment of the ‘Star Trek’ reboot franchise has been named ‘Star Trek Beyond’, says the director Justin Lin.
The director posted a close-up picture of a Starfleet badge along with two relevant hashtags, “#LLAP” which is the Vulcan salute, “Live long and prosper” and “#StarTrekBeyond” on Twitter.
The second hashtag ‘Star Trek Beyond’ happens to be the title of the third movie in the rebooted Star Trek franchise, reported People magazine.

‘Star Trek Beyond’ follows a convention set by the previous film, ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’.
Lin, best known for directing many of the ‘Fast and Furious’ movies, takes over directorial duties from J J Abrams, who helmed the previous two “Star Trek” films and now producing the third.
Series stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana are returning for the third outing, which is expected to release on July 8, 2016.
