Hailey Bieber has a lot to say, but this will probably be the last time for her critics online, spreading rumours about her failing marriage with Justin Bieber. The model-turned-businesswoman, whose skincare and makeup line, Rhode, is one of the most successful lifestyle companies, opened up about her million-dollar business, motherhood, marriage, and rumours in a recent Vogue interview. While Hailey is extremely popular, there’s no doubt that not everyone is a fan. Some online critics believe she trapped Justin Bieber and is keeping him away from his old girlfriend, Selena Gomez. We’ve seen hundreds of Hollywood love stories that fans obsess over slowly fade away with time, but the Jelena story, even after years, shows no sign of slowing down.
In present, amid Justin’s health struggles and his mental breakdown, rumours have again started taking over the buzz, but Hailey wasn’t bothered by any of it this time, because she’s had enough. “I thought seven years in it would’ve already, and it hasn’t. You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit, but no,” Bieber said.

Justin Bieber abruptly hit pause on his Justice World Tour in 2022 after a battle with Ramsay Hunt syndrome and later halted his music career to focus on his health. Rhode kept Hailey in the spotlight. Last August, they had their son, Jack Blues Bieber, and the couple renewed their wedding vows before that, and everything changed again — the rumours about their marriage died, but only for a brief time. The interviewer revealed that when she met Hailey back in May, tabloids were filled with headlines calling Bieber a “mess, manic, and disengaged,” even claiming that the couple might move to Europe, and even claimed Hailey planned to sue someone over a crazy video analysing her past online. But Hailey ended those baseless claims with just, “There’s no leaving LA for us. We love it here.”
“I read that one. There’s a new headline every two days that makes no sense,” she said.
With rising rumours of ‘trouble in Paradise,’ Hailey’s business was also rising. By April, report said Rhode might sell for over $1 billion. That’s how Hailey went from “Justin Bieber’s wife” to a major player in beauty. But the model also wanted to be a mother after watching her sister. “I really believe it happens exactly when it’s supposed to,” she said. However, once their baby was born, Hailey said she got brutally hit with online trolls while suffering postpartum, this time the target was Justin’s declining mental health. “Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I’ve ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult,” she said. “And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, ‘They’re getting divorced’ and ‘They’re this’ and ‘They’re not happy’ — it is such a mindf*ck. I cannot even begin to explain it. It’s a crazy life to live.”
Hailey and Justin got married in 2018, leaving Jelena shippers devastated, and that continued to plague the couple’s life with rumours, false stories, accusing the model of copying Selena, and so on. In fact, before their kid was born, the Biebers were on the edge after Hailey’s father posted online asking fans to pray for Justin, and things looked like they could break off anytime between them soon, but the couple made a strong comeback. Hailey knows that fame brings a lot of negativity. She says some people follow her just to criticise, even on the street. “I feel like I’ve fought so hard to try to get people to understand me, or know who I am, or see me for me. And people just don’t want to sometimes,” she said. “And there’s nothing you can do about that.”
Hailey said she tried to justify her stance a few times, but now she cares less. Instead of engaging with or fighting haters or trying to explain herself, she channels her energy into her brand, Rhode and the life she’s building with Justin. But, in the end, she only has one message to her haters. “So I guess these b*tches are going to be mad.”
