Film editor Anne Coates believes ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, the famous movie adaptation to E L James erotic novel, should have been a little more raunchy.

Coates edited the Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan-starrer movie.

“It was kind of fun. I thought it could have been a little more raunchy myself. Creatively, it was quite interesting because they were trying to get as sexy as they
could and get an R rating,” she told The Hollywood Reporter.

The editor said the post production process was tricky as they wanted to avoid pushing the boundaries too far.

“We were very delicately going around some of the scenes,” she said, adding she was surprised to be asked to edit the movie.

“I was surprised to be asked to do it. But, I think it was because I did Unfaithful, which was fairly sexy.”
