There is still more in the tank regarding the drama around the divorce of actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, as their daughter Shiloh Jolie has just debuted her new name, Shi Jolie. The couple cut ties legally last year in December, even though they had announced separation back in 2016. The couple battled it out for 8 years, which according to a recent comment by Brad Pitt, “wasn’t that big of a deal.” Both of the actors commanded a large troop of lawyers all armed with allegations of their own and a few months before the divorce got finalised, their daughter Shiloh had decided to drop her father’s name and be known as just Shiloh Jolie.
Other kids of the couple have also taken steps to distance themselves from their father’s name, as Zahara and Vivienne have introduced themselves with just their mother’s name on several occasions. Vivienne was part of a musical called The Outsiders, and the playbill had her name written as Vivienne Jolie. Zahara introduced herself only using her mother’s name when she joined Spelman College last year. Though Brad has made no comment on Shiloh’s latest stage name, he has talked about the previous changes to PEOPLE magazine. He said that he is “aware of the change” and that the reminder that he has lost his children is not very nice and that he misses them.
Back in 2016, the original appeal for the divorce came after the infamous “plane” incident when Pitt was accused by an anonymous bystander of abusing his children. While the story was never confirmed from either side, sources close to the couple reported that the incident was a verbal altercation between Jolie and Pitt, which was not handled properly.
