Star cricketer Zaheer Khan, 46, and actor Sagarika Ghatge, 36, are now parents to a baby boy. The couple took to Instagram to announce the same. They have named their baby boy Fatehsinh Khan. Along with the announcement, they shared photos with their little munchkin and thanked everyone for their well-wishes.
The photos show Zaheer sitting on a chair holding his boy as Sagarika sits beside him, hugging Zaheer. In the next photo, the couple shared a glimpse of Fatehsinh as his tiny hands are within his parent’s hands. Sharing the photos, Sagarika wrote, “With love, gratitude and divine blessings we welcome our precious little baby boy, Fatehsinh Khan. 🙏🧿.”
The couple received wishes from celebrities. Huma Qureshi commented on the post with a heart emoji. Diana Penty wrote, “Congratulations, you guys!!!! ❤️❤️❤️.” Gaurav Kapoor and the couple’s long-time friend Angad Bedi also congratulated them. Angad Bedi wrote, “Waheguru.” Harbhajan Singh wrote, “Congratulations to you both. Waheguru Meher Kare.” Pragya Kapoor wrote, “Congratulations.”
Sagarika and Zaheer have been married since 2017. In an earlier interaction with Hauterrfly, Sagarika had revealed that Zaheer had proposed to her during the IPL. She also opened up about their inter-faith marriage and how some questions were asked, but their progressive parents were fully supportive.
When asked if religion was discussed in her family, she said, “No, not really. I think, like I said, it was more about other people around us who were making that conversation. But, I think, my parents are very progressive.” She added, “Of course, things were discussed, but I think, for me, it was important to find the right human being who I could share my life with.”
A beautiful amalgamation of his parents’ faiths, Fatehsinh Khan loosely translates as someone who always emerges victorious and is brave like a lion.
