Yukta Mookhey had lodged a police complaint citing cruelty and criminal breach of trust, among other charges.

Former beauty queen turned actress Yukta Mookhey had lodged a police complaint against her husband and in-laws earlier this week, citing cruelty and criminal breach of trust, among other charges.

On July 11,her in-laws Bacchiter Singh (59),mother-in-law Harinder Kaur Tuli (60) and sisters-in-law Manmeet Kaur (32) and Chandan Kaur (34) have been granted anticipatory bail by a city court.

In their plea, filed by advocates Avinash Gupta and Filji Frederick, the Tulis alleged that the couple’s marriage was opposed by a friend who had credible information about Yukta Mookhey’s past conduct and character.

Further they claim that Yukta Mookhey refused to allow them and other relatives to spend time with the couple’s son on the pretext of “undue hygiene”,while claiming that the real reason for the dispute lay in Yukta Mookhey’s moral character.

On the other hand, post hearing the petition, the court said that in the event of their arrest, they will be released on interim bail on the execution of a bond of Rs 25,000 each.
