Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif have been married for over a year and since their wedding, every time they have a film to promote, people can’t stop asking them about their love story and their domestic life as their romance was under wraps for the longest time. While promoting his latest release Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Vicky shared that every other week, Katrina holds a meeting with the household staff and takes account of the expenses.
In a chat with News Tak, Vicky shared, “The most fun experience is when she (Katrina) holds a meeting in the house every week, or every other week. She gets the entire staff together, and discusses the budget of the house. She takes account of how the money is being spent, the expenses and it’s a great thing. But when that discussion happens, I enjoy it. I’m an audience and I sit with popcorn.”
Vicky Kaushal said that between the two of them, he is the one who likes to save more but shared that when they are shopping, the role of the penny pincher keeps rotating between the two. He shared, “It depends on what we are buying and who is more interested in that. If we are buying something that I am more interested in, then she says that we should stick to the budget. If it is something she is interested in, then I say ‘why so much…’ and then she says, ‘No no, I am fond of this’.”
During the trailer launch of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Vicky had shared that he refused to buy an expensive bar that Katrina was interested in. “We have a lot of discussions about furniture at home. Like for example, Madam (Katrina) wants to have a bar at home. She sent me the bar she is thinking to buy, I saw that and thought yeh bohot mehenga hai, main hi tray leke kahada ho jauga but ye nahi aayega (I would myself stand with a tray, but we can’t buy it because it is too expensive). This is worth my signing amount! So I said, no, this can’t happen,” he shared with a laugh.
