Nikhil Chinapa, a household name thanks to his decades-long career on television and in music, said that he has interacted with several stars in his day, but he hasn’t met anybody as genuine as Sunny Leone. Nikhil and Sunny hosted a season of the reality show Splitsvilla together, and Nikhil said that he was very impressed with Sunny’s natural ability to form a sisterly bond with the contestants.
Appearing on the Untriggered with AminJaz podcast, Nikhil addressed the Poonam Pandey fake death controversy, and said that he has doubts if her real intention ever was to raise awareness about cervical cancer. On the contrary, he said, he hasn’t met a more genuine person than Sunny. “You know the one person who’s never, ever late on shoot, among all the people I’ve worked with? If she’s even a minute late, she’ll come and personally apologise to you and the crew; it’s Sunny Leone,” he said.
Nikhil continued, “She is super, super professional. The most professional person I’ve worked with in the industry in the over 20 years I’ve been here. It’s not only about where she grew up, but it’s her work ethic, it’s her as a person, it’s what she believes in. You have stars who’ll buy biryani for the whole set and say, ‘Main sabke liye biryane leke aaya hoon’, and try to be fake about it, but Sunny’s not 1% fake. If she comes and apologises to you if she’s two minutes late, she means that apology.”
Sunny moved to India around a decade ago, leaving behind her thriving career as an adult star in the US. She got a break on Bigg Boss, during which she was signed for a film by Mahesh Bhatt. She has since appeared in several Bollywood films, and hosts reality shows. She will next be seen in the film Kennedy, directed by Anurag Kashyap.
