The remake of Khubsoorat starring Sonam Kapoor as the protagonist will go on floors on November 15 in Rajasthan. In fact,most of the film is based and will be shot in this state.
We will start on November 1,but the main shooting will take off from November 15 because of Diwali holidays. As for the cast,we have only announced Sonams name as yet. The other star cast will be announced soon,but Bangla actor Prosenjit is not reprising Ashok Kumars character as reported. We have not even approached him, informed Rhea Kapoor,the producer of the film.
The remake will be directed by Shashank Ghosh. Khubsoorat,released in 1980,was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee.
It starred Ashok Kumar,Rekha,Rakesh Roshan and Dina Pathak. It had music by R. D. Burman
