Rock On 2 has everything going right for the film. From perfect cast to perfect songs, it won’t be wrong to have high expectations from the musical drama already. So far all its songs have found a place on the top of music lists of the season and its latest song ‘Udja Re’ is no different. What’s adding to the excitement is Shraddha’s voice and her enigma.
Rock On 2 takes the story forward from where its prequel ended in 2008. While actors Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Prachi Desai are reprising their roles, Shraddha is the new addition to the star cast. What’s more, Shraddha has even sung three songs in the film. Rock On 2 is about the rock band Magik coming together after many years and how an amateur singer played by Shraddha is trained to become a part of their band.
The song ‘Udja Re’ shows Shraddha performing on stage. She has literally got wings and a voice in the song. Her all-black avatar is giving a major gothic feel as she is singing about breaking free and flying high.Composed by Shankar-Ehsan-Loy, ‘Udja re’ is so far one of the best tracks from Rock On 2.

Rock On 2 had its trailer launch at a live concert a few days back. Shraddha plays the character of Jiah who has a prodigal talent with the keyboard and vocals but for a mysterious reason, is not able to reach her full potential. The film is set to release on November 11.
