Juggling the responsibilities of being a famous celebrity and a devoted mother is no easy feat, but Bollywood’s superstar moms have managed to strike a perfect balance. And they credit their husbands for playing a significant role in their co-parenting journey. From Kareena Kapoor Khan to Alia Bhatt, these leading ladies have spoken about how their partners have helped them maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

The actor, who was recently shooting for Hansal Mehta’s next, had opened up about how one parent is always there with their kids Taimur and Jeh Ali Khan. In an interview with Variety, Kareena was all hearts for husband Saif Ali Khan and had said, “I’m very lucky to have a husband who works in the same profession. We take turns as to when we have to travel. It’s a lot of meticulous planning, but if you’re well-planned, I think you can achieve it.”

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas became parents to their daughter Malti Marie in January 2022, via surrogacy. In a recent interview, Priyanka opened up about the challenges of balancing their successful careers while also being present for their little one.

In an interview with Elle, Priyanka said, “We just feel a sense of contribution when it comes to the not-fun stuff. I don’t remember having a conversation where I’m like, ‘I need you to do more of this.’ We both have careers that are important to us, so we split our time in a way where one of us is able to do the house things or be with the baby.”

Mira Rajput

Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput, who is a celebrity influencer and investor, believes that when one parent takes on the responsibility of children, it allows the other to recharge and take a break. During a live session, Mira had said, “My kids are totally different with me than they are with Shahid. They enjoy doing different things with him and they enjoy doing different things with me. Yeah, of course, there are times when I have had some time off and I get to work and Shahid’s with the kids. That really helps with the bonding of the kids and their dad, and the kids and me, and we just get time to recharge.” Shahid and Mira have two kids–Misha and Zain.

Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have always been open about their unwavering support for one another. In a recent interview, Virat shared that he admires Anushka for making tremendous sacrifices as an actor to be with their daughter Vamika. He even went on to say that she is a true inspiration to him. Similarly, Anushka has also spoken about the sacrifices that Virat has made for her during tough times.

In an interview with Grazia, Anushka had said Virat was with her during her first trimester. She said, “Had he been travelling, I wouldn’t have been able to accompany him in my condition. My first trimester was awful, so it was nice to have him by my side, to handhold and be my cheerleader.”

Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who recently became parents to their daughter Raha, are relishing this new chapter of their lives. Even as Alia resumed work just a few months after giving birth, she has been vocal about how Ranbir has been bonding with their little one.

In an interview with Vogue, Alia had said, “Ranbir is such a hands-on father at home that it sometimes gets difficult for me to even hold her for a second. And he’s got very unique ways of hanging out with Raha—he likes to sit with her in front of the window where the breeze comes in and make sure she spends a good amount of time looking at the big green plant there. He thinks of her as this earthly sprite.”

Neha Dhupia

Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi have two children–Guriq and Mehr. Neha, who is also a working mother, has spoken candidly about the challenges she faces in balancing her career and parenting responsibilities. However, she has also praised her husband and actor Angad for being a supportive partner in their parenting journey.

In an interview with iDiva, Neha had said, “I tell my husband that he has to be on Mehr’s duty when I am away for virtual auditions (Roadies). He understands it and we are big on co-parenting and that’s very important to us. I have a wonderful husband who understands. I know a lot can be managed by my husband so we plan our timing accordingly.”
