After months of speculation that they have broken up, Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor have put the rumours to rest as Arjun wished Malaika on her birthday on social media and made it obvious that the couple is still going strong. Arjun and Malaika have been dating for a few years now and have dealt with enough scrutiny about their relationship. Malaika, in a recent interview, said that harsh scrutiny was the downside of being in the public eye but she has chosen to make peace with all of it.
In a chat with The Times of India, the popular model-actor said that a price has to be paid for being in the public eye. “I believe that if you are not able to deal with the good and bad, then you are in the wrong profession,” she said. Malaika added that just as she enjoys the perks of her fame, she has to “handle the bad as well”.
Malaika Arora previously appeared in a reality show on her life titled Moving in with Malaika. On the show, Malaika said that she is a “hardcore romantic” and shared, “Just because I have been through a divorce or something, I am not bitter. I have a lot to feel and I think I have a better person in a relationship. Whatever choices or decisions I made, I made purely and at the end of the day, this man in my life makes me happy. Whatever else the world says, whatever they feel, I don’t care.”
In a chat with Brides Today, Malaika described Arjun as her “true love” and said that he is “insanely wise” for his age. “Our world is so obsessed with tags… There is an age difference, but it has never been an issue between us. I think he is insanely wise for his age, and that he has a very deep and strong soul. He is someone who’s very liberated and extremely caring. I don’t think they make men like that anymore,” she said.
Malaika Arora was previously married to actor-producer Arbaaz Khan. They are now co-parenting their son Arhaan Khan. Arjun Kapoor and Malaika made their relationship official via social media in 2019.
