Vicky Kaushal is currently one of the most in-demand actors in the Hindi film industry, regularly collaborating with the biggest directors and producers. On Wednesday, his upcoming tent pole with Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films banner was announced with a poster. Titled Mahavatar, the film’s first look has been unveiled, showing Vicky Kaushal in a never-seen-before avatar. The film is based on the story of Chiranjeevi Parashurama, described as ‘the eternal warrior of dharma’, and is directed by Amar Kaushik. The film will be released in Christmas 2026.
Releasing the first look on Instagram, Vicky Kaushal wrote, “Dinesh Vijan brings to life the story of the eternal warrior of dharma! Vicky Kaushal stars as Chiranjeevi Parashurama in Mahavatar, directed by Amar Kaushik. Coming to cinemas – Christmas 2026!”
Reacting to the first look poster, many fans took to the comments section. One of them wrote, “This looks epic…” Another fan wrote, “Bhai ye banda alag mission pr hai what a look and perfect cast by Maddock.” A third fan said, “Finally my favourite avatar of Vishnu is going to be cinematic…. hoping for the best output.” Vicky Kaushal’s younger brother Sunny also reacted to the poster, writing, “Bhai, bhai, bhai,” and dropped some fire emojis in his comment.
Amar Kaushik and Maddock Films have delivered the biggest hit of 2024 with Stree 2. This year, Vicky Kaushal will star in Maddock Film’s Chhaava. The film is a period drama also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Vicky will be seen playing the role of Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the period drama, directed by Laxman Utekar and also starring Akshaye Khanna in an important role.
In 2025, Vicky Kaushal will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War; the film also stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. This one will be an epic love saga released on Christmas next year. Love and War will be Vicky Kaushal’s first collaboration with Bhansali.
