It’s that time of year when Indians celebrate 10 days of divine power and the nine avatars of Goddess Durga. As Navratri 2024 commenced on Thursday, several celebrities, including Katrina Kaif, Kriti Sanon, Malaika Arora, Shilpa Shetty, Ajay Devgn, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Saif Ali Khan were spotted attending a puja ceremony organised by Kalyan Jewellers in Kochi today. South stars including Naga Chaitanya, Tovino Thomas, Dileep, Kavya Madhavan, Anna Ben, Anarkali Marikar, and Prabhu, among others, also attended the event. The stars embraced the festive spirit in stunning ethnic outfits.
Actors Katrina Kaif, Kriti Sanon, and Shilpa Shetty looked elegant in beautiful sarees as they were spotted in Kochi as well as Kalina airport in Mumbai while heading for the event. Shilpa donned a striking green saree, while Kriti and Katrina opted for shades of red. Meanwhile, Malaika chose an exquisite white lehenga. She completed her look with a neatly tied bun and statement jewellery. This also marks her first public appearance since the passing of her step-father Anil Mehta. On the other hand, Rashmika made a statement in a heavily embellished red suit set. Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Ajay Devgn also joined the celebrations, arriving in stylish kurta sets for the event.
Tamil actor Prabu attended the event with his wife Punitha Prabhu. Malayalam actor Dileep also attended the celebrations with his wife Kavya Madhavan. Minnal Murali star Tovino Thomas was accompanied by his wife Lidiya Tovino. Anna Ben and Anarkali Marikar also attended the Navratri celebrations, looking elegant in their ethnic wears.
Kalyan Jewellers organises a star-studded Navratri puja every year. In 2023, Katrina Kaif, Shilpa Shetty, Janhvi Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and son Naga Chaitanya, among other were spotted attending the event hosted by the Kalyanaraman family. Pictures and visuals of the stars interacting with the guests at the event were widely circulated online. Previously, actors Mammootty, Ranbir Kapoor have also been part of the celebrations.
