After almost five days of treatment at Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital, Saif Ali Khan is expected to be discharged today. The actor’s wife, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, and daughter, Sara Ali Khan, were spotted by the paparazzi arriving at the hospital on Tuesday morning. Several pictures and videos of Kareena in a casual outfit are doing rounds on social media.

Earlier, Saif’s spokesperson spoke to ETimes and informed that the actor will be discharged from the hospital today (January 21), afternoon. It was also revealed that the doctors will take a call about the duration of rest he requires for the next few days to recover completely . The person said that the doctors will be deciding the same after the final examination before discharge.

Saif Ali Khan suffered multiple injuries after he was brutally attacked at his house in Bandra in the early hours of January 16. He stabbed the film star in his 12th floor apartment at the Satguru Sharan building during an alleged robbery attempt. Saif had sustained six stab wounds during the attack, including two deep cuts on his back, with one dangerously close to his spine. The actor underwent a surgery at Lilavati hospital.

The alleged assailant, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, was arrested from Thane and sent to police custody for further investigation. The 30-year-old man of Bangladeshi origin allegedly climbed the stairs to the seventh-eighth floor of the building where Saif lives with his actor wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their children.

“He entered the duct area, climbed to the 12th floor using a pipe and entered the actor’s flat through a bathroom window. He then came out from the bathroom, where the actor’s staff spotted him, leading to the chain of events that culminated into the knife attack,” an official had said earlier.

The shocking nature of the attack raised serious concerns regarding security in the area and the motives behind targeting the celebrity.
