Kajol recently celebrated her 51st birthday with her ‘fellow Leo’ Vatsal Sheth. The two actors, born on the same day, have been celebrating their birthday together for many years and this year was no different. Vatsal Sheth’s wife and actor Ishita Dutta shared a series of photos from their birthday celebrations where Kajol could be seen wearing a red dress while Vatsal sported a denim-on-denim look. Both exuding child-like happiness, looking upon their multiple cakes.
On Tuesday, Ishita Dutta shared a series of pictures from Kajol and Vatsal’s birthday with the caption: Happy Birthday to my favourites. She tagged both Vatsal and Kajol. In the first picture, both Vatsal and Kajol could be seen all smiles looking at an entire collection of cakes lying before them with candles. Kajol as usual made her quirky face, while Vatsal looked excited like a child before blowing the candles. The picture also featured Kajol’s son Yug and cousin Sharbani Mukherjee.
Other pictures featured Ishita posing with the birthday boy Vatsal Sheth, followed by a picture of her with both birthday humans. In the pictures, Kajol could be seen sipping on chai.
The post prompted reactions from several of their industry friends including actor Bobby Deol who dropped birthday wishes. Meanwhile, several fans questioned their relation. “How are they related?” has been a constant comment.
Both Vatsal Sheth and Ishita Dutta have been co-stars to actor Ajay Devgn. While Vatsal Sheth played son to Ajay in the 2004 film Taarzan: The Wonder Car, Ishita played his daughter in both Drishyam movies (2014 and 2022). Ever since, they have maintained a close relationship with the couple often joining Ajay’s family on festivals like Diwali and Durga Puja.
Taking to her Instagram stories Kajol penned a special birthday post for Vatsal. She wrote, “Happy birthday Vatsal. I know this year is a super special one for you… May all that you wish for happen right now!”
Ajay too wished his co-star and wrote:”Whenever you need me look for a purple car… Happy birthday.”
Vatsal too had a special note for the actress. Sharing similar pictures from Ishita’s post, Vatsal wrote, “Happy Birthday Dearest Kajol. Thank you so much for making me part of your birthday celebrations. You are the best!”
