Superstars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan’s lighthearted banter during the Bigg Boss 18 Grand Finale stole the spotlight and won over audiences. Aamir appeared on the Salman Khan-hosted show alongside his son Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor to promote their upcoming film Loveyapa. During their fun-filled interaction, Salman playfully asked Aamir if he has a new girlfriend. However, it was Junaid’s witty comment that left everyone in splits.
During the episode, Aamir revealed an interesting tidbit about their shared past, stating that he and Salman had studied in the same school when they were in the second standard. “Not many people know, but Salman and I studied in the same school in the 2nd standard,” Aamir shared, adding that Salman later shifted to another school. Salman humorously quipped, “I was thrown out.” Aamir smiled and said, “You can call us childhood friends.”
Junaid then decided to test this long-standing friendship by suggesting that the two actors switch their phones and take a look at each other’s messages. Salman immediately protested, saying, “I don’t want to play this.” When Aamir tried to pacify him, Salman retorted, “Leave it. You’re a settled person. You’ve been married twice, you have kids, and I haven’t had any of those.”
Hesitantly, Salman handed over his phone to Aamir and took Aamir’s phone in exchange. However, Salman quickly asked, “Tere koi nayi girlfriend aayi? (Do you have a new girlfriend?)” Aamir replied with a laugh, “Look at my phone and you’ll get your answer.” While scrolling through Salman’s phone, Aamir quipped, “Yeh wali abhi bhi hai (This one is still there),” referring to one of Salman’s past relationships. Salman, amused, responded, “I didn’t ask anyone to leave; they just left.”
Adding to the humour, Salman joked about his lack of curiosity regarding Aamir’s phone, saying, “What do I even see in your phone? Either Reena [Dutta] or Kiran [Rao] would have texted you.” Junaid seized the moment and chimed in with, “Toh do-do ex-wife ki gaaliyan padh paoge aap (You’ll get to read messages from two ex-wives).” His witty remark left the audience in fits of laughter.
For the uninitiated, Aamir Khan married Reena Dutta in 1986, and the couple shares two children, Ira Khan and Junaid Khan. They divorced in 2002. Aamir later tied the knot with Kiran Rao in 2005, and they welcomed their son Azad through surrogacy. However, Aamir and Kiran parted ways amicably in 2021 after 15 years of marriage.
