Johnny Lever says Hera Pheri 3 ‘won’t be fun’ without Paresh Rawal, urges him to resolve feud with Akshay Kumar

Johnny Lever has weighed in on the feud between Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal following the latter’s abrupt exit from Hera Pheri 3.

Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty met and resolved the issues around Hera Pheri 3, says Priyadarshan.

A major controversy erupted after Paresh Rawal quit Hera Pheri 3. His co-star and the film’s producer, Akshay Kumar, sued the actor for leaving the film midway and for taking an advance payment of Rs 11 lakh. Following this, Paresh’s team clarified that the actor had returned the amount to Akshay along with 15% interest, and also accused Akshay’s team of not delivering Hera Pheri 3 screenplay. Now, actor Johnny Lever, who is also part of Hera Pheri 3, has spoken about the controversy and expressed his opinion that Paresh should go ahead and do the film.

Speaking to Zoom, Johnny said, “Mujhe lagta hai ki kar lena chahiye unko film, baithke baat karein, matter solve karein kyunki fans bohut miss karenge Paresh ji ko film mein, maza nahi aayega na waisa unke bina. To baat karke solve karlena chahiye, meri nazar mein to yahi sahi hai (I feel that they should do the film, sit and talk, solve the matter, because fans will miss Paresh ji a lot. It will not be fun without him. So they should talk and solve the matter).”

Speaking about how he was approached for Hera Pheri 3, Johnny Lever said, “Mujhe bhi Hera Pheri ki dhamki aa chuki hai, ki aap booked ho (Even I’ve received the Hera Pheri warning – that I’m already booked).”

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is currently gearing up for the release of Housefull 5. During the film’s trailer launch, Akshay addressed the feud with Paresh Rawal and said, “Jo bhi kuch hai I don’t think this is a place where I will talk about it because it is a very serious matter. It is a matter which is going to be handled by the court so I don’t think I am going to speak about it here.”

Suniel Shetty, who also plays the lead role in Hera Pheri 3 with Akshay and Paresh, also aired the same views as Johnny Lever. He said, “A film becomes iconic when the audience remembers the characters. This is not Suniel, Akshay, and Paresh; it was Raju, Shyam, and Babu Rao. Nobody can replace those 3 characters, and even when Kartik was considered for the movie, he was never going to replace Raju; it was for a different role altogether.”
