Jaya Bachchan shushes paparazzi as she attends Hema Malini’s 75th birthday bash, jokes ‘Ye Padmini Kohlapure mujhe yaha lekar aayi hai’

Actor Jaya Bachchan is known for her love-hate relationship with the paparazzi during public gathering. From scolding the cameramen to commenting on them, Jaya has had her moments. She once again caught everyone’s attention as she walked into Hema Malini’s 75th birthday celebrations held in Mumbai on Tuesday. Jaya made her entry with actor Padmini Kohlapure, who was holding the senior actor’s hand as they walked. As the excited paparazzi screamed her name, Jaya signaled them to keep quiet.

As Jaya walked on the platform created for pictures, she also told the cameramen, “Ye Padmini mujhe yahan lekar aayi hai…(Padmini has brought me here)”. Later as the paparazzi told her to look in their directions, she smiled and said, “Abhi aap log itna direction mat dijiye (Don’t give me so many directions).” Jaya’s smile and pleasant mood received a warm welcome from the paparazzi.

The netizens had mixed reactions to Jaya’s reaction. A follower wrote, “She looks beautiful wen she smiles shes not a bad person may b she doesn’t personally like shouting very respectfully she present herself.”, another one wrote, “The shuush never failed”. A fan also called her “cute” seeing her in a good mood.

The star studded guest list included Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Rani Mukerji, Vudya Balan amongst others. The grand birthday celebrations saw Hema cut the cake with husband Dharmendra by her side. Their daughters Esha and Ahana were also present, making it a beautiful family get together.

Jaya was amongst many other Bollywood personalities, who had come to celebrate Hema’s 75th birthday. Several videos from the bash surfaced online. One of them showed Rekha and Hema Malini grooving together to live music.
