Jawan actor Girija Oak remembers attending a Shah Rukh Khan party at Mannat: ‘Gauri, Aryan and Suhana were dancing together…’

Actor Girija Oak, who played one of Azaad’s squad members in the film Jawan, recently shared memories of working with Shah Rukh Khan. Girija realised the brilliance of Shah Rukh’s craft in between the shots. After the film was completed, and she attended a party at his house Mannat, the actor also felt that the superstar’s family is like any other family – ‘lovely and close-knit’.

Girija, in a new interview, spoke about bonding with Shah Rukh on “parental pains” as both of them were missing spending time with their children. She also shared the quality of Shah Rukh, which she hasn’t seen in any other actor ever.

Sharing her experience of working with Shah Rukh Khan, Girija Oak told Lallantop, “He is not interfering at all but is extremely specific about his own things. He is very particular about action continuity. I have never seen such precision in any actor in all these years.”

She added, “Shah Rukh remembers his action continuity 100%. He needs nobody to remind him that he did this or that in the previous shot. He even remembers how his neck was in a particular shot. This was even more important in Jawan as he was playing a double role, and I haven’t seen him falter at all, which is brilliant.”

Jawan, which was released in cinema halls in September, became one of the highest-grossing films of Hindi cinema. It did a business of over Rs 1000 crore across the globe. The film was released on Netflix on the occasion of Shah Rukh’s 58th birthday on Thursday.

After Jawan’s shoot was wrapped, Shah Rukh Khan hosted a party at his Mumbai bungalow Mannat. It was a surreal experience for Girija Oak to be attending a party at Mannat. However, after reaching the actor’s house, she realised how his family is just like hers or any other family.

“They are as lovely, homely and as close-knit as any other family. Gauri, Aryan and Suhana were all dancing together and requesting songs for each other. It was so lovely. Gauri’s parents were there, and they were just sitting and chatting. It was just like any other lovely family,” Girija shared.
