And just like that, the excitement surrounding the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2025 has reached new heights as the King himself arrived in the host city on Friday, ahead of the much-anticipated event this weekend. The buzz around Shah Rukh Khan’s arrival in Jaipur had drawn a massive crowd to the airport in Rajasthan’s capital, eager to catch a glimpse of the superstar.
As soon as Bollywood’s Baadshah stepped out of the airport, dressed stylishly in casuals from his son Aryan Khan’s luxury streetwear brand D’YAVOL X, paired with a blue bag, the crowd erupted in cheers. Before entering his car to head to the hotel, SRK took a moment to greet his fans, waving and blowing kisses. Back in January, he had also attended the IIFA 2025 press conference in Mumbai.
With Jaipur gearing up to host the grand award show, guests have already started arriving in the Pink City. A few hours before Shah Rukh Khan’s arrival, Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor touched down, while actors Madhuri Dixit, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana and Nushrratt Bharuccha had already reached on Thursday. On Friday, singer Shreya Ghoshal and Sanju star Karishma Tanna also joined the growing list of attendees. This year, Kartik Aaryan will make his debut as the host of IIFA, which celebrates its 25th edition.
At the 24th IIFA Awards, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal had won Best Film, while Vidhu Vinod Chopra took home the Best Director award for 12th Fail. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji won Best Actor and Best Actress for their performances in Jawan and Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, respectively.
