After making her Instagram debut on Friday, veteran Bollywood star Saira Banu shared a post on Saturday, in which she revealed how her late husband and legendary Bollywood star, Dilip Kumar preferred to see her in sarees, and not salwar-kameez. He believed that the actress looked younger in salwar kameez.
While sharing an endearing picture of her ‘Sahib’, Saira Banu revealed that the late actor mostly wore white shirts. But one day, at her request, he wore a yellow shirt. In return, he wanted Saira to wear a ‘fluffy saree’ as he believed she looked “more substantial” in those.
In the caption of her post, Saira wrote, “Sahib preferably always wore white in this Jodhpuri collar kind of “Bush” shirts… I requested and got around him to please wear a few colour shades In his shirts… here he is laughing at me saying look! I am wearing a colour… a yellow that you like Saira… but on condition that you promise to wear fluffy Organdy sarees that make you seem more substantial! Not salwar kameez that makes me want to send you to school again!”
