Choreographer and actor Dhanashree Verma has reacted to divorce rumours with her husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. She addressed the rumours around her marriage in a social media post, calling them ‘baseless’ and ‘devoid of fact’. She took to her Instagram handle and posted a Story, expressing her anger, revealing that the past few days have been very difficult for her and her family.
It read, “The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What’s truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact- checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate. I’ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity.”
She further added, “My silence is not a sign of weakness; but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others. I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values. The truth stands tall without the need for justification. Om Namah Shivaay.”
A few days ago, Yuzvendra Chahal also shared a cryptic post on Instagram amid rumours of their separation. He posted, “Silence is a profound melody, for those who can hear it above all the noise”—attributed to Socrates.
The duo tied the knot with each other on December 22, 2020. The speculation around their marriage began after fans noticed that Yuzvendra and Dhanashree have unfollowed each other on Instagram. It was further fuelled when Yuzvendra deleted all his photos with Dhanashree on social media, although she still has a few photos with him on her profile.
Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal got married in an intimate ceremony in Gurugram, with their family and friends in attendance. Their love story started during the pandemic when the cricketer saw Dhanashree’s dance videos and approached her for dancing lessons. They would often share videos with each, and also appeared together on television.
