A day after gunshots were heard outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area, the Bollywood star shared his first post on social media, endorsing his brand ‘Being Strong’ and announcing its expansion into Dubai.
In a video posted on his official Instagram account, Salman was seen passionately discussing the benefits of purchasing Being Strong’s equipment. He also mentioned he still possesses and uses all the items created by the firm, emphasising their durability. Salman’s Being Strong is a fitness lab working with a mission to develop modern equipment. “A lot of gyms, friends and fans have purchased equipment from us,” he noted, adding that they have yet to receive any complaints regarding the items they sold.
Following the April 14 incident, when two suspects on a motorcycle fired five rounds at Salman’s residence, Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, had claimed responsibility for the firing. Later in the evening, police sources identified one of the suspects — captured on CCTV — as Vishal alias Kalu, a shooter in the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Salman Khan has lived with his family in the Galaxy Apartment in Bandstand, Bandra West, for over 20 years. Despite being a prominent location frequently visited by people from all over, the residence is not extravagant. Yet, Salman chose the residence for its proximity to his parents, particularly his mother Salma Khan, as he revealed in a 2009 interview on Farah Khan’s chat show, Tere Mere Beech Mein.
In March last year, Lawrence Bishnoi had allegedly sent a threatening mail to Salman Khan, following which the Mumbai police beefed up security outside his residence back then and registered a case. In November, the police reviewed the security and asked Salman to be alert following another threat by the gangster.
On the work front, Salman was last seen in director Maneesh Sharma’s action thriller Tiger 3 and is now gearing up for an AR Murugadoss’ project, which will be bankrolled by Kick producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
