Athiya Shetty, KL Rahul announce pregnancy: ‘Our beautiful blessing is coming soon’

Actor Athiya Shetty, the daughter of renowned Bollywood star Suniel Shetty, and cricketer KL Rahul, who tied the knot in January 2023, recently announced their first pregnancy. The couple took to Instagram to share a joint post and make the announcement. They wrote, “Our beautiful blessing is coming soon. 2025.” The news has caught the attention of the couple’s industry friends who flooded the comments section with congratulatory comments.

Newly married Sonakshi Sinha took to Athiya’s comments section and wrote, “Omg omg omg sooooo happy.” She also dropped hearts. Athiya’s brother, soon-to-be uncle Ahan Shetty, shared an emotional teary-eyed emoji in the comments section.

Actors Vaani Kapoor, Esha Gupta, Shibani Akhtar and Rhea Kapoor also congratulated the couple. Bride-to-be Shobita Dhulipala and Maheep Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor too dropped comments and wished the couple on their new journey in life. The couple shared the news just three days after Athiya Shetty’s birthday.

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul tied the knot at Suniel Shetty’s Khandal mansion, Jahaan, after secretly dating each other for around three years. Their wedding was an intimate affair with just close friends and family in attendance.

A day ago, SCREEN had reported that Suniel Shetty, who had been shooting for his upcoming actioner Hunter in Mumbai, suffered a rib injury on set. Later, the actor himself took to social media to inform his fans and followers about the incident and wrote, “Minor injury, nothing serious! I am absolutely fine and ready for the next shot. Grateful for all the love and care 🙏❤ #OnSet.”
