Archana Puran Singh has been sharing memorable moments from her trip to her hometown, Dehradun. In the latest vlog, the actor, her husband, Parmeet Sethi, sons Aryamann and Ayushmaan, and her future daughter-in-law, Yogita Bihani went for a fun food haul in Mussorie. In the vlog, the family tried different popular restaurants and childhood favourite street foods, eating each and every dish there. Parmeet also humorously recalled how Archana used to lovingly call him ‘pudding’, but gone are those days.

In the beginning of the vlog, the family drove off to Mussoorie from Dehradun. On their way, Parmeet clarified that he loves being in between mountains and chilly weather. “It’s a simple matter – I only got married to you because I wanted free trips here.” Archana recalled her childhood memories of school and libraries and showed the family around on their car ride.

After checking into their hotel, the entire family sat together to enjoy the ‘British style’ high tea. Ayushmaan showcased his music talent in the lobby area by playing the piano there. At night, everyone stepped out for dinner and had steamed momos at a street shop before heading for a hearty meal at The Royal Afghan. The restaurant serves the same menu as Delhi’s famous Bukhara restaurant, popular for its Dal Bukhara. Archana gave a thumbs up to all the dishes – except the Tandoori phool and kulfi.

Archana Puran Singh‘s brother and sister-in-law joined them the next day for their food haul. After eating an amazing lunch at Tavern restaurant, they headed towards a childhood favourite sweet shop for desserts – gulab jamun and jalebi. “If you come to Mussoorie and you don’t have this milk and jalebi, you will miss something mind-blowing,” said Parmeet.

The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actor then took her family to another small shop to try the fruit cream and apple pie that she used to have while growing up. “We couldn’t afford to come here during childhood. We only came here only one day – on pocket money day, the next day toh paise khatam hojaate the. Ab toh thodi kamaai karli hai toh we can come (we have earned well to come now),” she revealed. “But, Archana used to run an account over here,” the owner laughed and added.

For dinner, the Sethi family chose Chinese cuisine at Cafe Anahata. While trying the mud cake and pudding there, Parmeet joked, “Ek zamaane mein, Archana mujhe pudding bulaaya karti thi. Vo zamaane gaye (Archana’s nickname for me was pudding, gone are those days).” “Mera pudding,” she called him adorably.

They gave a thumbs up to all the dishes and thanked the owner there. The person then revealed that even actor Sara Ali Khan visited their restaurant recently. “Last time, Sara came here. Unhone photo bhi nahi di (she didn’t even click a picture with us),” he smiled and revealed. “This is a casual way to say that you should give a picture. We will click, you gave such an amazing service and food,” Archana replied.

The food haul didn’t end there as they couldn’t miss out on the special ‘Pahaadon wali maggi’. The next morning, they went to another local shop and ate maggie, apple pancake, paneer parantha, lemon tea, and chilli-cheese sandwich there. At the end of the vlog, all the food items got a green signal from the foodie family.
