Arbaaz Khan says parents Salim Khan, Salma Khan and Helen are ‘inseparable’ today: ‘My dad holds my mom’s hand and…’

Arbaaz Khan spoke about the current equation between his father Salim Khan, his mother Salma Khan and his step-mother Helen.

Veteran writer Salim Khan was married to Salma Khan and was the father of four children – Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan and Alvira Khan, when he fell in love with Helen. Soon after he married the popular dancer and while it might have created some differences within the family in those early years, the entire Khan clan lives as a big happy family today. In a recent chat, Arbaaz said that Salim, Salma and Helen are “inseparable” now and while they have had their own share of struggles, they are past them now.

In a chat with Bollywood Bubble, Arbaaz said that his father “never imposed Helen aunty onto us.” He shared, “He knew for these kids their mother is very important and I have another woman in my life but she has her own space. She too never tried to separate us. She was just happy that there was somebody in her life who was just going to be there for her and she knew that he had his own family, his wife, his kids and she didn’t want to disturb that.”

When asked about how his mother dealt with the circumstances at the time, Arbaaz admitted that it was quite difficult for her. “It was difficult for my Mom at that point but she dealt with it in her own way because she… Whatever their reasons were to keep things going. Whether it was children or circumstances or just the fact that you felt that okay fine this has happened but now, I still need to be around this man or he felt that I still need to be around this woman. They’ve had their own struggles and we’ve seen it as kids but they’ve gone through that. They could tide through that,” he said.

Speaking about their current equation, Arbaaz said that “today, all of them are inseparable.” He said that his father likes to hold his mother’s hand and sit with her for hours. “My dad holds my mom’s hand today and sits… so beautiful. He just keeps calling her and making her sit next to him and so it looks beautiful… all of this,” he said.

In an earlier chat with Arbaaz for the same publication, Helen said that she “never ever wanted a separation from the family” and credited Salma Khan for keeping the family together.
