Rajeev Juneja, managing director and co-founder of Mankind Pharma, opened up about actors such as Anushka Sharma and Kartik Aaryan endorsing their brands Prega News and Manforce condoms. He expressed his desire to sign new celebrity faces for the ads, namely Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor. Rajeev appeared on Raj Shamani podcast, where he also spoke about ad revenue and budget allocation.
Talking about Anushka, who is currently endorsing Prega News, he said, “She is very good. Very straight, very disciplined. Matlab kam aisa hota hai. Koi tantrums nahi hai. Koi filmy wali baatein nahi hain. Army background se hain so maybe her ethics are different. Very professional. (This happens very less that an actor doesn’t have any tantrums or filmy conversations. Maybe, she is from an army background and her ethics are different from the others).” Anushka Sharma was announced as the brand ambassador in 2020 when she was expecting her first child Vamika Kohli, with Virat Kohli. They were also blessed with their second child, son Akaay, last year.

Rajeev expressed that he also had a good experience working with Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was the previous ambassador of the brand before Anushka. He has his eyes set on Deepika Padukone, who was recently blessed with a baby girl with Ranveer Singh, as the next face of Prega News. But, the actor hasn’t been signed yet. He added, “Nahi, sign nahi kiya. Maybe her asking is too much for us.”
He further revealed he is also in conversation with Alia Bhatt for the same. The entrepreneur shared that only 20-25 per cent of the total budget is allocated for the making of an ad, which includes the star’s fees. The rest of the money is spent on running the ad and ensuring its wider reach to the audience.
In the same interview, Rajeev was asked about having an appropriate brand ambassador to represent his condom brand and who he would sign, he replied, “Condom ke liye? Kisi ke liye bhi? Janhvi Kapoor. She’s apt. She’s the best choice.” For the male celebrity, he chose Ranbir Kapoor. He also revealed that both of them have refused the offer to become brand ambassadors for the condom company in the past. Currently, Kartik Aaryan has been endorsing the brand, who took over after Sunny Leone. “Kartik Aaryan lene ka reason kya hai ki thoda sa male side ke andar we are supposed to go,” he said.
