Cricketer AB de Villiers appeared to confirm that Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are expecting their second child. The celebrity couple hasn’t made any official announcement yet. Addressing Virat’s absence from the first two Tests against England, de Villiers said on his YouTube channel, “All I know is he is fine. He is spending some quality time with his family, and that is the reason he is missing the initial two Test matches. I am not going to disclose anything else. I cannot wait to see him back. He is fine, he is doing well.”

He further acknowledged the importance of family in Virat’s life, affirming that the impending arrival of their second child is a significant factor in his decision. “Yes, his second child is on the way. Family time is crucial to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him. But he has made absolutely the right decision,” added de Villiers.

The buzz around Anushka’s second pregnancy began to circulate in November 2023, particularly after her presence at a Diwali bash in Bengaluru ahead of Team India’s World Cup match against the Netherlands.

In December, Anushka shared an advertisement for a pregnancy kit, creating a wave of excitement among fans. The comments section of the post was flooded with congratulatory messages.

Virat and Anushka welcomed their first baby, daughter Vamika, on January 11, 2021. The couple have been steadfast in protecting their family’s privacy. They have yet to reveal Vamika’s face and have actively discouraged the paparazzi from taking her pictures.
