Filmmakers Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap are currently in France at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2023. Motwane and Anurag, who walked the red carpet, struck a pose together before attending the premiere of director Martin Scorsese’s film Killers of the Flower Moon. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Motwane first shared a picture with Anurag and wrote, “Red carpet ready for..” He then posted a screen grab which read, “A Martin Scorsese film.” In his next multiple snaps, the filmmaker featured the legendary director himself. During the screening, a video captured the moment when the legendary director received a standing ovation from the entire audience. An emotional Leonardo DiCaprio also featured in one of the pictures.
Earlier in an interview with Deadline, Scorsese opened up about his next film and said, “I wish I could take a break for eight weeks and make a film at the same time. The whole world has opened up to me, but it’s too late. It’s too late. I’m old. I read stuff. I see things. I want to tell stories, and there’s no more time.”
Anurag and Motwane are in Cannes for the film Kennedy. The Anurag Kashyap directorial has been selected for a Midnight screening at the film festival. Kennedy stars Sunny Leone, Rahul Bhatt and Abhilash Thapliyal in pivotal roles.
Motwane recently garnered appreciation for his recent web show Jubilee. Featuring Aparshakti Khurana, Aditi Rao Hydari, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Wamiqa Gabbi and Sidhant Gupta among others, the web show was praised by who’s who of Bollywood.
