Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap recently said that when one distances from the crowd, they often encounter politics, which is part of any society. Regarding film industry politics, he said that it depends on the industry’s conditioning and belief systems. Kashyap also revealed how people think he is a ‘millionaire NGO’.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the Kennedy director revealed if he has ever been a victim of industry politics. He said, “Depends on what is the industry conditioning, industry belief systems. In the sense when you begin, when you start, you do ghost writing. You don’t get your credits, you don’t get your money. That has happened to me because I support so much cinema. People think I’m some kind of a millionaire NGO who’s supposed to be there for everybody. I also get taken for granted. I also get misused.”

Anurag Kashyap was asked if it was easy to manipulate him when he had just started in the industry. “Not like I haven’t been aware when I was manipulated. I’ve always been aware. I was like, ‘How far will they manipulate?’”

Anurag Kashyap stressed that everyone can decide how they want to respond to discomforting situations. If something makes him uncomfortable, he prefers to avoid it rather than trying to silence the other person.

On the work front, Kashyap was recently seen in the film Haddi opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Helmed by Akshat Ajay Sharma, the movie was released on September 7 on Zee5.
