Akshay Kumar, who is gearing up for the release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, is known for his fitness and agility. The actor credits his disciplined life to his mental health which helps me stay stress-free. Akshay, during a recent appearance on The Ranveer Show, shared a funny anecdote when he felt “frustrated.”
He reminisced, “Once when I was frustrated and went outside my house and saw the fleet of cars. The frustration was gone in 5 minutes. Maine khud se kaha ‘Laanat hai tujhpar. Bewakoof kahin kahin. Tere paas paanch gaadiyan, tu frustrate kaise ho sakta hain (Shame on you. You’re an idiot. You own five cars, how can you be frustrated)?”
Akshay, who has a black belt in Taekwondo, kick-started his career martial arts teacher in Mumbai. “I reminded myself that I used to travel in bus number 205 and would go to people’s houses to teach karate to earn a living, so now when I have everything, there’s no reason to feel frustrated,” he shared.
The Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi star admits that he doesn’t stress over his films not doing well and the pressure only lasts between Friday to Sunday, admitting that he stays fit to enjoy the money he earns with his family. “I enjoy my money and for me, it means taking holidays with my family. We are planning a trip to Tanzania,” said Akshay who is married to Twinkle Khanna.
The 56-year-old actor also opened up about the pressure he gets from his children — daughter Nitara and son Aarav — who challenge him to compete with them in sports. “My biggest pressures come from my children who want me to run, swim and climb faster than them. When I attend sports day, the parents of other children are younger than me and are in their early 30s. There’s a pressure to compete with them and defeat them. My 11-year-old daughter says, ‘Daddy you have to win.’ I also have the pressure of performing action scenes with younger actors like Tiger Shroff. But I love this pressure,” he admitted.
Akshay and Tiger Shroff are all set to entertain their fans in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which is all set to have its theatrical release on April 11.
