Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan, who is looking forward to his first theatrical release Loveyapa also starring Khushi Kapoor, stays away from social media and in a recent interview, the actor acknowledged that it is because of his family’s legacy that producers are willing to sign him for projects even without any digital presence. Junaid has worked as an assistant on a few of his father’s productions and made his debut in 2024 with YRF’s Maharaj.

Talking to Radio Nasha, Junaid said that the position he is in, because of his father, has a lot of advantages. When asked about trolls and naysayers, Junaid said that he is in a favourable position. “The position that we are in, it has all the advantages.” He then said, ” Nobody has said anything negative to me actually. I am not on social media so I have no idea.”

He then talked about the lack of his social media presence and said that it is his “privilege” as he can get work even without it. “That is also a privilege. I am in a position where I can choose to not be on social media. I don’t think most actors would have that privilege. Producers will give me work even when they have not seen any public presence. I don’t think anyone else has that. I have got this privilege because of the family I come from,” he said. Many actors have opened up about the pressures of social media as a lot of parts in films and shows are cast based on one’s social media following. Even the biggest of actors are expected to be on social media so they can connect with their fans and promote films on their platforms.

Loveyapa happens to be the first theatrical release of both the stars and is releasing in theatres on February 7.
