Aamir Khan and his ex-wife Reena Dutta‘s daughter Ira Khan tied the knot with her long time boyfriend Nupur Shikhare on January 10. The newly married couple hosted a three-day long wedding festivities in Udaipur following that. Aamir’s second wife Kiran Rao and their son Azad Rao Khan were also a part of the celebrations. Reena, on Friday, took to social media to write a reassuring note for Ira and shared a picture featuring Ira, Aamir and herself.
Taking to Instagram, Reena wrote, “I have your back always my baby girl @khan.ira Love you 🥰.”
Reacting to her mother’s note, Ira commented, “Awwwwwliieee❤️❤️❤️❤️ I LOVE YOU MAMA!! I know😘 that’s why I feel safe.” In the picture Reena shared, Aamir and Ira are seen sharing a sweet moment as he walked her down the aisle and Reena is standing behind her.
Reena’s post received a lot of love from her followers and family members. Aamir’s niece, actor Zayn Marie Khan wrote, “😭😭😭😭😭 and we have both of yours ❤️❤️❤️ love you, Chachijaan 🥺🥹♥️,” Ira’s husband Nupur dropped two red heart emoticons. One of her other followers wrote, “Sooo beautiful ❤️Mashallah. Lots of love and hugs.”
Aamir married Reena Dutta in 1986. Reena is a film producer and backed his 2001 movie Lagaan. She was also seen in the song ‘Papa Kehte Hai’ from the Aamir Khan – Juhi Chawla starrer Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988). The two welcomed their son Junaid in 1993 and daughter Ira in 1997. However, the two got divorced in 2002. Aamir then got married to film producer, screenwriter and director Kiran Rao in 2005, the two are parents to their son Azad Rao Khan who was born in 2011 through surrogacy. The two separated in 2021.
