Some dos and don'ts for using earphones

A good rule of thumb is to listen at 60 per cent of the maximum volume for no more than 60 minutes a day.

Give your ears a rest by taking regular breaks to avoid ear fatigue and reduce the risk of long-term hearing loss.

Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe down the earbuds after use, and avoid sharing them with others to prevent the spread of infections.

Don’t listen to music at high volume for an extended period.

Don’t use earbuds while driving or crossing roads.

Don't share earbuds with others.
