Week in the life of Modi: Ahead of polls, PM kicks off whirlwind campaign tour

With the 2024 Lok Sabha polls right around the corner, PM Modi toured several states over the last week, launching multiple development projects.

In Varanasi, projects worth Rs 13,000 crore were inaugurated, covering road, industry, tourism, textile, and health sectors.

He inaugurated the Sudarshan Setu, India's longest cable-stayed bridge, linking mainland Gujarat with Bet Dwarka island.

The Sudarshan Setu, also known as Signature Bridge, spans 4.77 km and is Gujarat's first sea link.

PM Modi visited the submerged city of Dwarka in the Arabian Sea after inaugurating the Sudarshan Setu.

PM Modi dedicated the revived Sindri fertiliser plant in Jharkhand, managed by Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Limited.

He also reviewed the progress of India's first human space flight program, Gaganyaan Mission, and awarded 'astronaut wings' to astronaut-designates.

Today the PM visited Telangana and Odisha.

His visit to Odisha assumes significance as it comes amid significant buzz around a possible BJP-BJP reunion in the state. Meanwhile, his visit to the south is being seen as part of the BJP’s push to make inroads in the southern states,
