Can turmeric, ginger, and lemon drink help after drinking? Nutritionists explain

According to Archana S, senior nutritionist at Aster Whitefield Hospital in Bengaluru, a drink composed with turmeric, ginger, black pepper, and lemon has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant characteristics, which assist the liver and digestion.

Archana also stated that although the beverage may promote liver function, there is no concrete proof that it negates or stops the effects of alcohol on the body.

She suggests that eating before drinking, staying hydrated, and drinking responsibly are better ways to lessen the effects of alcohol.

Clinical nutritionist C V Aishwarya of Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research in Chennai explained that ginger and turmeric neutralise reactive oxygen species, lowering oxidative stress and cellular damage brought on by alcohol metabolism.

Aishwarya notes that the combination of turmeric, ginger, lemon, and black pepper promotes liver detoxification and relaxes the digestive tract, hence helping digestion and nutrient absorption.
