Cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal were all set to get married. The wedding was postponed indefinitely after her father Shrinivas fell ill.
Smriti Mandhana's father Srinivas has reportedly been discharged from the hospital.
Smriti's father is completely stable now, with the heart condition no longer posing any threat, an India TV report said.
Smriti's father was admitted to the hospital on Sunday following a heart attack. The medical emergency made Smriti postpone their wedding ceremony.
Just a few hours before the wedding planned on November 23, Smriti's manager Tuhin Mishra shared with the media that Srinivas was hospitalised.
Soon after the news of the postponement, reports came in that said that Palash Muchhal’s family flew back to Mumbai from Sangli, where the wedding was going to take place.
Palash’s mother clarified that the composer was taken ill right after Smriti Mandhana’s father was hospitalised, and that’s why they had to take him to Mumbai.
Palash’s sister, singer Palak Muchhal shared via Instagram, "Due to Smriti’s father’s health, Smriti and Palash’s wedding has been put on hold. We would request all of you to respect the privacy of the families during this sensitive time."
Smriti and also her fellow Indian women's national teammates deleted all images and videos of the pre-wedding celebrations.
