This actor and singer has adopted ten of the most severely affected villages in Gurdaspur and Amritsar. Collaborating with NGOs and local administration, Diljit is actively supporting ongoing relief efforts.
The actor expressed his anguish after seeing visuals of the floods, posting prayers for the victims and urging support for volunteers on the ground. He also added, "Rabb Meher Bakshe," a heartfelt call for God’s mercy.
The actor-comedian posted on X, "Feeling heartbroken seeing my Punjab suffering due to floods. My prayers are with all the families affected. We have always stood together in tough times, and I am sure with love and support we will overcome this too. Stay strong, we are with you #PunjabFloods."
The actor shared his concerns on X and wrote, "The devastation caused by the floods in Punjab is truly heart-breaking. Sending strength and prayers to everyone impacted. I will support in every way I can. May Babaji bless and protect all in Punjab."
Kareena Kapoor Khan shared via Instagram stories, "My prayers are with everyone affected by the floods up North. May relief and strength reach you at the earliest. The floods have claimed lives, uprooted homes and shattered livelihoods to say the least. For those who can, please support trusted relief funds and join local aid efforts."
Singer and actor also took to Instagram to announce that he and his team have adopted 200 homes belonging to flood-affected families and added, "May we all come together in whatever way we can to support those in need."
The actor has donated to organisations who are actively working on the ground as rescue teams. A part of her heartfelt message on Instagram read, "I am doing my part to help by donating to organizations actively working on ground as rescue teams, and I humbly urge you to do yours too. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference in someone’s life right now. Let’s come together and stand by Punjab in this crucial time."
The actor posted on X, "From Vaishno Devi to Shimla to Punjab. Many regions of North India are devastated by flash floods, land slides and heavy rainfall. Stay safe everyone. I sincerely hope we can all do our part n help in whichever way we can. Till then praying for everyone’s safety."
