USA: Ted Cruz congratulates Donald Trump on New Hampshire win

Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz offered his congratulations to party rival Donald Trump following the latter's crushing victory in the New Hampshire primary, during a speech in the city of Manchester on Tuesday. "I want to congratulate Donald Trump on an impressive win tonight. And John Kasich had a good night tonight. But the real winner, the real winner is the conservative grassroots," he said. Despite his defeat in the Iowa caucus held earlier in February, Donald Trump easily won the Republican primary elections in New Hampshire, receiving over 35 per cent of the vote, against his rivals John Kasich, who managed to take around 16 per cent and Ted Cruz, who received 11 per cent. The candidates will now turn their attention to the upcoming primaries in South Carolina and Nevada.
