Police arrest Maoist woman commander in Jharkhand

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Chandamuni Hansda from a bus station in Giridih district, who is wanted in murder of a senior police officer and other heinous crimes. The woman is believed to be member of core team of Maoist leader Hitesh in the Santhal-Pargana zone, which consists of six districts. Superintendent of Police, Akhilesh B Verier, called it was a big achievement for the police. Police said she was the founding member of the Maoist women’s wing in Santhal-Pargana.
