Opposition Protest Escalates as INDIA Bloc Leaders Meet Over Speaker Row | Adjournment Continues

the INDIA bloc held a meeting on Wednesday at the office of the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge within the Parliament House complex. Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi was also present at the meeting. The developments come as the BJP escalated its complaint against Congress MPs, with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju saying that women BJP MPs had lodged a strong protest with the Speaker over the conduct of Congress members inside the Lok Sabha. Rijiju alleged that Congress MPs crossed over to the Treasury benches, surrounded the area near the Prime Minister’s seat, and later went to the Speaker’s chamber, prompting serious concerns over parliamentary decorum.
