Mallya holds no responsibility within USL group: Business Head
Mumbai, Feb 26 (ANI): Liquor baron Vijay Mallya agreed to resign from his post of chairman and non-executive director of India's largest spirits company United Spirits Ltd (USL), the local arm of Britain's Diageo. Speaking about the resignation, Business Head for Luxury and Corporate Relations of USL Abanti Sankaranarayanan confirmed the news, saying that this agreement is an affirmative action to end Dr. Mallya's association with USL. She added that with this resignation Dr. Mallya no longer has any authority or responsibility within the USL group.
