Ludhiana: Woman Killed For Desecrating Guru Granth Sahib

Two unidentified motorcycle-borne persons shot dead a woman accused of desecrating the Guru Granth Sahib in Ludhiana district’s Alamgir village on Tuesday.
Balwinder Kaur, 43, was a resident of Ghawaddi village. She was earlier arrested for allegedly desecrating the Sikh holy book last year and was out on bail.
Ludhiana Police Commissioner Jatinder Aulakh gave details of the case to the media. Kaur had been working at a gurdwara for over two decades.
The deceased, Balwinder Kaur, was a resident of Ghawaddi village. She had been arrested last year and was out on bail.
According to reports, Balwinder Kaur and her son were invited by someone outside the Gurudwara Manji Sahib in Alamgir and was shot by two motorcycle-borne assailants. She died on the spot.
Ludhiana's Commissioner of Police Jatinder Singh Aulakh has ordered an investigation into the case. Her body has sent to the civil hospital for postmortem
