Kerala Temple Fire: Toll Rises To 109, Six Persons Booked

Five office bearers of Puttingal Devi temple, where a fireworks tragedy had claimed 109 lives on Sunday, surrendered before police on Tuesday. The surrendered included temple trust president P S Jayalal and secretary Krishnankutty Pillai. The office bearers had gone into hiding after the tragedy as they had staged the massive show disregarding the ban on the event slapped by the district administration.
